Climb to the glorious Damavand Mountain

Mount Damavand (5610m), magnificent dormant stratovolcano, famous for White Giant (demon) in Persian Literature, the highest peak in Iran, the highest volcano and 2nd most prominent mountain in Asia, Yes! We are here to help you have a sweet and unforgettable experience climbing Mount Damavand.
We do all the coordination and provide all of your climbing requirements with your safety in mind.
It is advisable to bring the equipment you need, in addition if you have a contract with us, we will let you know of unnecessary supplies ahead of your trip.
It might be possible to customize the tour package partially based on your needs, If you would like to customize the package, please provide us some general information about your program (e.g. length of your trip, number of people, type of activity etc) in addition to that tell us about your key interests in Iran, then let us make a plan according to your interests and our local conditions, rest of the work will be done by us.
Please note that there may be changes to the Itinerary of your trip that do not match the content of this page, we are versed in what we write in our Final Contract and all services will be executed in accordance with what is stated in the submitted PDF file.

Day 1: Rineh Mountainous City

  • Transportation from Tehran/Airport to 1st. Camp of Mt. Damavand (~2100m)
Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: 1st. Camp of Mt. Damavand

Day 2: 3rd. Camp of Mt. Damavand

  • Transportation to the 2nd. Camp by 4WD Cars (~3200m)
  • Duffel bags/Backpacks are being carried to the 3rd. Camp by mules
  • Ascending to the 3rd. Camp (~4150m)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunchbox, Dinner
Accommodation: 3rd. Camp of Mt. Damavand

Day 3: Summit of Mt. Damavand

  • Ascending to Damavand Summit (~5610m)
  • Descending to the 3rd. Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunchbox, Dinner
Accommodation: 3rd. Camp of Mt. Damavand

Day 4: Tehran

  • Descending to the 2nd. Camp
  • Duffel bags/Backpacks are being carried to the 2nd. Camp by mules
  • Transportation to the 1st. Camp by 4WD Cars
  • Time to relax and soothe your muscles in the hot spring
  • Transportation from 1st. Camp to Tehran/Airport

Summer time is the most popular time, there is no surprise that it will be very crowded, we usually schedule our programs for less crowded times, contact us for more information about best time of ascent.
We issue Damavand permit at 1st. Camp, Damavand permit costs 50 USD.

Hot shower is available just at 1st. Camp and the Hotel/Hostel in cities.
A washing machine is available at 1st. Camp and you can use it.
Laundry services are usually provided in Hotel/Hostel in cities, please contact us to find out if these services are included in your accommodation.
It is possible to recharge your batteries in the 1st. Camp and 3rd. Camp (Power generator)

It is strongly advisable to have mountain guides. it is very unsafe to just rely on electronic devices like GPS receivers or Smartphones, the high altitulde weather conditions are very variable, you may get lost or due to altitude sickness, make the wrong decison. Our mountain guides are experienced in different paths and will keep the program as controlled and as safe as possible.
Acclimatization is the body’s natural means of correcting altitude sickness, the rate of high altitude acclimatization depends on the altitude, rate of ascent, individual susceptibility and physical preparation.
It is very popular to ascend Mount Tochal (~3960) in Tehran before your Damavand ascent, besides that some of our packages scheduled to have dedicated acclimatization time, but it will ultimately depend on our final contract and participants’ conditions during the program.

Sleeping bag is required for all camps except 1st. Camp(Rineh).
Sleeping pad is not required at 1st. Camp.
Sleeping pad is not required at 3rd. Camp (renovated old camp).
Sleeping pad is required at 3rd. Camp (new hut).
If you are getting our full package, you don’t need to bring any single piece of cooking gear, We have covered all the requirements.

Crampons and Ice Axes are not required during the summer time.
If we are running your program, we usually inform you about the latest trail conditions ahead of your trip.
