Overview
This tour is considered as the basis of Damavand tours and all the essentials of a pleasant climb are included in it, so everything is ready for you to see the new landscapes in Persia, feel the hospitality of Iranians and experience climbing a 5610-meter volcanic mountain.
In this tour, we will pick you up in Tehran and take you to Camp 1 of Mount Damavand, you will visit the first and oldest camp of Mount Damavand and spend the night there. On the second day, after receiving your extra equipment and placing them in our duffel bags, we will go to Camp 2 by 4WD vehicles and start hiking to Camp 3. At Camp 3, we will hand over your extra luggage and accommodate you in shelter or tent depending on the conditions of the camp or the agreement previously made with you. On the third day, we will climb up to a height of about 4600m then we will return to Camp 3 and prepare for the final push by resting and eating nutritious food. On the fourth day, we start hiking early in the morning to climb Damavand peak, we stay at the peak for a few minutes, take pictures, then return to camp 3. On the fifth day, after receiving your extra luggage, we will go to Camp 2 and from there we will return to Camp 1 by 4WD vehicles and return the luggage to you once we get there. After a short break, we will end the tour with all the memorable moments by moving towards Tehran.
It is worth noting that during the climb, all participants will be evaluated by our Tour Leader or Mountain Guide(s) and their health condition will be checked at Camp 3, so we proceed as safe as possible for the final attempt.

Day 1: Camp 1 - Rineh Mountainous City

Price details
We have prepared all the costs of climbing Mount Damavand in addition to the inclusions, exclusions, additional services and our final notes about the tour.
The Price for 5-day trek to Mount Damavand (Tour id 951):
- If booked at least 10 days before the tour start date: €375 + 18% (per person)
- If booked within 9 days until the tour start date: €550 + 18% (per person)
Notice: The tour package price excludes the 18% tax which will be added to the total cost (except damavand permit).
Notice: Mount Damavand Permit Fee is charged in USD by the Mountaineering Federation of Iran; it has been excluded from cost of the tour and must be paid separately and preferably in dollars or exact same amount in euros.
Discounts:
- For groups of 6-10 participants, One person is free (except Mount Damavand permit $50).
- For groups with at least 11 participants, One person is totally free.

Cancellation Policy
Your safety is our No.1 priority, there is always a chance for the tours to get cancelled, it could be on your request or at our discretion due to bad weather or other unfavorable circumstances, so please read our cancellation policy HERE
Cancellation Policy:
The start of the tour is the first date any of our services are used by the customer. e.g.: Transfer, Accommodation, Sightseeing and etc.
Cancellation must be notified either by sending an e-mail, using text messaging platforms or contact us form at damavand.camp/contact-us/
The date of cancellation is the date we receive your message during the work days based on Official Iranian Calendar.
Once the tour starts, there will be no refund if the customer cancels or changes the program for any reason.
Cancellation policy is based on number of the days remaining until the starting date of the tour and following conditions apply if customer decides to cancel the program*:
- ● 3 Days or less than 3 Days or once the program has begun: Not Refundable
- ● 4-7 Days: 25% Refundable
- ● 8-14 Days: 50% Refundable
- ● 15-21 Days: 75% Refundable
- ● 22 Days or more than 22 Days in advance: 100% Refundable
We hold all the rights to cancel any program, under unavoidable circumstances in Iran such as natural disaster, canceled flights, strike, wars, riots, government intervention, unfavorable or dangerous weather conditions, prevalence of any contagious disease or any other untoward events. In such situations if we have to cancel the program, following conditions apply*:

- ● Before starting date of the program: Almost 100% Refundable
*The following items may be totally or partially non-refundable in all the conditions listed above:

- ● All other reservations have been made for places outside our possession
- ● In cases where services are not rendered owing to tour cessation but we have paid, (or will pay) expenses, cancellation charge, penalty, or etc., we will refund only the balance thereof where possible.

The short answer is YES! However, as our tours are customizable, we adhere to the final contract that will be sent to you as a PDF file and any out-of-contract services will include a separate charge.
Summer time is the most popular time, there is no surprise that it will be very crowded, we usually schedule our programs for less crowded times, contact us for more information about best time of ascent.
We issue Damavand permit at 1st. Camp, Damavand permit costs 50 USD.
Hot shower is available just at 1st. Camp and obviously in urban accommodations such as hotels, hostels. Laundry services are usually provided in city accommodations, please contact us to find out if these services are included in your accommodation.
A washing machine is also available at Camp 1.
There is access to electricity at Camp 1, also in Camp 3 with help of power generators at stable conditions.
It is strongly advised to have mountain guides. It would be very unsafe to rely only on electronic devices like GPS receivers or Smartphones, the high-altitude weather conditions are very variable, you may get lost or due to altitude sickness, make the wrong decision. Our mountain guides are experienced, they know different alternative paths and will keep the program under control.
Acclimatization is the body's natural means of correcting altitude sickness, the rate of high-altitude acclimatization depends on the altitude, rate of ascent, individual susceptibility and physical preparation. It is very popular to ascend Mount Tochal (~3960) in Tehran before your Damavand ascent, besides that some of our packages scheduled to have dedicated acclimatization time, but it will ultimately depend on our final contract and participants' conditions during the program.
Sleeping bag is required for all camps except Camp 1 (Rineh).
Sleeping pad is not required at Camp 1
Sleeping pad is not required at Camp 3 (renovated old camp).
Sleeping pad is required at Camp 3 (new hut).
If you are getting our full package, you don't need to bring any single piece of cooking gear, we have covered all the requirements. if it is not full package, contact us for details.
Crampons and Ice Axes are not required during the summer time. If we are running your program, we usually inform you about the latest trail conditions ahead of your trip.
It is expected to have some cardio exercises or aerobic sports in your lifestyle. running, cycling, swimming, skipping, jogging, dancing or even long everyday walks can help in increasing your stamina which will result in higher performance during your climb.
